Thank you for your interest in WECA Workshops to Go. We look forward to working with you to arrange a training for your early childhood staff. We will work within your scheduling choices and the availability of our trainers to find a time that suits your needs, including: weekdays during the day, in the evening, or on Saturday.
Who will benefit?
Many moderate to large child care centers have used this professional development service. Family providers or child care centers with a smaller number of staff, may wish to collaborate with other centers to plan a Workshops To Go session in their area. Read on to learn how you will benefit as child care staff do not need to travel as only the trainer's expenses will be incurred.
Service fees for approximate 1 ½ - 2 ½ hour workshop:
- $250 for up to 15 participants
- or $300 for 16 to 20 participants
- or $350 for 21 to 25 participants
- or $400 for 26 to 30 participants
- or $450 for 31 to 40 participants
Travel costs
When a training is located outside of Dane County (when arranging a "statewide" training) or outside of Milwaukee county (when arranging a training in the greater Milwaukee area),
mileage will be added to this fee. One hotel
overnight will also be charged if travel to and from the training can not be done in one day. For the sake of workshop quality, we may ask that attendance be limited, depending upon the topic chosen. With some topics it is possible that there may be no limit to the number of participants.
Training Topics
You may chose from the list of training topics found on the WECA website or we will work with you in an attempt to accommodate requests that are not on the list. After your topic is finalized, along with your report of the number of participants expected to attend, you will receive a Letter of Agreement that specifies the workshop topic, date, time, length, location, instructor(s), and number attending. Based on the number attending and the distance that the trainer will travel, the fee will be specified.
Who to Contact
If you have any questions or wish to arrange a training, contact the WECA staff person specified for your area of the state.
