Food Program Payment - How It Works
By joining the WECA Food Program you are helping children stay healthy and learn better through good nutrition.
Each day, 3.2 million children across the country receive nutritious meals and snacks through the USDA's Child and Adult Care Food Program. The Program is funded through the National School Lunch Act and administered in Wisconsin by the Department of Public Instruction.
How payment works
Reimbursement for child care meals and snacks is based on a two-tiered system determined by the USDA. When you enroll in the Food Program WECA staff will help determine the tier you qualify for. Tier I rates are assigned to low-income areas, providers, or children.
Current* rates are:
|Tier 1||Tier 2|
*Effective July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017.
