Eligibilities

Individuals must meet all requirements to participate in R.E.W.A.R.D.™ Wisconsin

Employment requirements
Family child care providers, child care center teachers, assistant teachers, center directors and administrators:

• Must be employed by a certified or licensed family child care program, licensed child care center, or any Head Start program
• Must work at least 20 hours per week
• Must work at least 5% of their time in an early childhood classroom, either directly with children or in supervision and support of staff
• Must live and/or work in the state of Wisconsin
• Must earn $16.50 dollars an hour or less
• Must be in good standing with the T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Wisconsin Scholarship Program

Longevity requirements
Applicants must demonstrate longevity in one of the following ways:
By having completed three current and continuous years of employment at their present place of employment
OR
By having six years of employment in regulated child care programs, as determined by the R.E.W.A.R.D.™ Wisconsin Stipend Program after reviewing an applicant's employment history submitted to the The Registry

Educational requirements
Educational requirements must be demonstrated through a Registry Certificate. Only certificates issued after 1/1/2006 will be accepted.

If your Registry Certificate was issued between 1/1/2006 and 1/1/2009: Applicants must be Registry Level 6 or above on the 14 Level Recognition System
Individuals at Registry Levels 6 and 7 will need to complete 3 credits of early childhood education coursework before another stipend agreement will be awarded

If your Registry Certificate was issued after 1/1/2009:
Applicants must be Registry Level 9 or above on the 17 Level Recognition System
Individuals at Registry Levels 9 and 10 will need to complete 3 credits of early childhood education coursework before another stipend agreement will be awarded
