Sponsoring a Scholarship Recipient
The T.E.A.C.H. Scholarship Program rests on a three-way partnership that includes the scholarship recipient, the program in which she or he works, and the T.E.A.C.H. scholarship agency (WECA). All partners make a financial commitment. Although most of the financial support comes from T.E.A.C.H., an individual in your program will not be able to pursue credit-based training with a T.E.A.C.H. scholarship without your support.
Reasons to sponsor a T.E.A.C.H. scholarship recipient:
- A quality early childhood program counts on quality teachers.
- T.E.A.C.H. has a positive impact on reducing staff turnover.
- Sponsorship makes good sense financially when you calculate the cost of staff turnover.
- When your program is a good place for both children and teachers, you improve its marketability.
