Raising Wisconsin
Led by Wisconsin Early Childhood Association, Raising Wisconsin is a powerful advocacy initiative powered by the support of a multi-sector coalition that includes leaders and experts from Wisconsin organizations representing child care, child health, local government, economic development, and a host of social impact organizations.
The Focus
Advancing a significant investment of state funding into child care so all children, families, early educators, and communities have the opportunity to thrive.
Tools & Resources
Raising Wisconsin develops and shares a variety of resources designed to help you effectively share your experiences with Wisconsin’s child care challenges with elected officials and policymakers.
The Journey Since 2019
Raising Wisconsin began in 2019 as the Wisconsin Infant Toddler Policy Project (WITPP), a multi-sector collaborative effort working to create transformational change for our state’s child care system and optimal child health and well-being with a focus on the needs of Wisconsin’s infants and toddlers.
In 2022, the effort launched as Raising Wisconsin to reflect the growing awareness around child care’s importance and provide a space for all advocates to see themselves and their role in early childhood advocacy.
Collaboration: The Center and Raising Wisconsin
The Center provides research, information, and resources to the coalition to help inform priority-setting and advocacy strategy and decision-making. Through the work of the engagement team, the Center collaborates to advance the advocacy strategies and priorities of Raising Wisconsin, particularly during the state’s biennial budget process.
